Meeting Minutes

November 5, 2025


I. Call to Order – 10:05 am


II. Approval of Agenda –

III. Approve Meeting Minutes

IV. Reports:

  • Treasurer’s Report

    • 1 st - Leann

  • Marketing Report – discussion around marketing, focus of conversation was around creating awareness through video clips, what platforms to use for the videos. One member was not in favor of using Tik Tok. We will plan once or twice a month. Jenna shared insight on the demographics for social media platforms. Also, some discussion around budgeting for ad boosts more visibility across social media platforms. Discussion around using the Hampshire Review for advertising our educational series.

  • Directors Report – Statton reported on the Gala event for Hardy Cty. Shared details on the awards. General discussion took place around hosting a similar event in Hampshire County next year. Committee will need formed to discuss it further. Library partnership, Arts Council partnership discussed. Discussion around encouraging more people to join the board, and develop checklist for events -

  • Membership Committee Report

    • membership was discussed as part of marketing report.


V. Old Business

  • Capon Bridge Event

    • Discussion around the lack of participation. This discussion led to having a more structured networking event. Leann shared that one of the individuals who attended the event had feedback where she felt the environment was not conducive to discussion with businesses and felt she did not gain value in attending the event. Group agreed an event checklist should be developed, including items such as – breakdown of money gathered, new member applications, gathering name and emails of attendees. Also, create a standard agenda so the events will be more structured and purposeful.


VI. New Business

  • December event was discussed, pricing established, entertainment will include DJ, giveaways throughout the event, and food to be served. Committee will send budget breakdown for the event.
