The Hampshire County Chamber of Commerce was pleased to welcome West Virginia State Treasurer Larry Pack to Hampshire County for an afternoon of conversation, connection, and an opportunity to share more about the businesses and people who call our county home.

Treasurer Pack joined members of the HCCC Board alongside Senator Darren Thorne and Delegate David Cannon, two of our local representatives in the West Virginia Legislature. Senator Thorne represents the 15th Senatorial District, which includes Hampshire and Morgan counties and part of Berkeley County, while Delegate Cannon represents House District 89, covering portions of Hampshire and Morgan counties.

The afternoon provided an opportunity for open conversation about Hampshire County—our local businesses, our community, the opportunities that exist here, and the importance of keeping the lines of communication open between the people working locally and those serving our communities at the state level.

For the Chamber, opportunities like this are an important part of what we are working to build.

Our purpose extends beyond networking events and business promotion. The Hampshire County Chamber of Commerce works to create connections: between businesses, community organizations, local leaders, resources, and partners throughout West Virginia. When we can bring people together around the same table, we create opportunities to share information, ask questions, build relationships, and make sure Hampshire County continues to have a voice in conversations happening beyond our county lines.

We were grateful for the opportunity to share some of what makes Hampshire County special and to discuss the businesses, entrepreneurs, organizations, and individuals who continue to invest their time and energy into our community.

We sincerely thank Treasurer Larry Pack, Senator Darren Thorne, and Delegate David Cannon for taking the time to join us and engage in the conversation.

As the Chamber continues to grow, we look forward to creating more opportunities that connect Hampshire County locally and statewide, bring valuable information and resources closer to our business community, and help educate and strengthen the people and businesses we serve.

Connecting people. Sharing information. Creating opportunities. Strengthening Hampshire County.
