Another Lifesaving Resource for Hampshire County: Second AED Placed at The River House in Capon Bridge

Another important step toward a safer Hampshire County was celebrated today as Marsha Riibner-Cady of Cady CPR Solutions marked the placement of a second Automated External Defibrillator (AED) in Hampshire County, this time at The River House in Capon Bridge.

The occasion brought together family, friends, representatives of the Hampshire County Chamber of Commerce and Hampshire County Development Authority (HCDA), Katie Rogers of Bungee, and Kayla, Executive Director of The River House, to celebrate another valuable emergency response resource for our community.

A Lifesaving Resource Accessible to the Community

The newly placed AED is located at The River House, 24 Rickie Davy Lane, Capon Bridge, WV 26711, on the first level in the outdoor Otter's Den area. Its location is easily accessible from the parking lot, providing a convenient point of access to potentially lifesaving equipment during a cardiac emergency.

AEDs are designed to assist individuals experiencing sudden cardiac arrest by analyzing heart rhythms and delivering an electrical shock when needed. Having these devices readily available in community spaces can make a critical difference in the minutes before emergency medical services arrive.

From Hampshire on the Horizon to Community Impact

This placement also highlights the lasting impact of local entrepreneurship programs and community partnerships.

Earlier this year, during the Hampshire on the Horizon finale, Marsha was awarded Bungee's Ascend Award, an opportunity made possible through the support of Katie Rogers and Bungee.

The award helped make these AED placements possible, turning recognition of a local entrepreneur into a tangible investment in community safety.

It is a wonderful example of how supporting small businesses and local entrepreneurs can create benefits that extend far beyond the businesses themselves.

We extend a special thank-you to Katie Rogers and Bungee for investing in people like Marsha and helping bring these lifesaving resources to Hampshire County.

Community Partnerships Making a Difference

This placement represents more than the installation of emergency equipment. It reflects the dedication of local individuals, businesses, and organizations working together to strengthen the safety and well-being of Hampshire County.

Through her work with Cady CPR Solutions, Marsha continues to demonstrate a genuine commitment to emergency preparedness, CPR education, and making lifesaving resources more accessible throughout our communities.

The Hampshire County Chamber of Commerce is proud to support and work alongside individuals like Marsha, whose passion for helping others creates a meaningful and lasting impact.

We also extend our appreciation to The River House for providing a location for this important resource, and to everyone who joined today's celebration.

Building a Safer Hampshire County, One AED at a Time

With a second AED now placed in Hampshire County through this initiative, we celebrate another positive step toward improving local emergency preparedness.

The Hampshire County Chamber of Commerce congratulates Marsha and Cady CPR Solutions on this milestone. We are grateful for the opportunity to work alongside community-minded individuals and organizations who genuinely care about the people and places that make Hampshire County special.

From the opportunities created through Hampshire on the Horizon to the partnerships that continue long after the program concludes, today's celebration is a reminder of what can happen when our community invests in its people.

Together, these efforts help build a stronger, safer, and more connected Hampshire County.
