On Saturday, March 14th, the Hampshire County Chamber of Commerce had the pleasure of joining our partners, Almost Heaven Canine Resort, to celebrate their official Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting.

Surrounded by friends, family, community members—and of course some very happy furry guests—this special moment marked the opening of a thoughtfully designed, state-of-the-art boarding facility right here in Hampshire County.

Almost Heaven Canine Resort offers boarding, grooming, and attentive care for pets, providing peace of mind to pet owners who want the very best for their companions while they’re away.

A Vision Rooted in Love

The story behind Almost Heaven Canine Resort is one that resonates with many pet owners.

Owners Jeremy and Starla Carson were inspired by their own experience trying to find high-quality, local care for their beloved 15-year-old dog, Zoey. Too often, they found themselves traveling nearly an hour to access the level of care they were comfortable with—revealing a clear need within the Hampshire County community.

Rather than accept that gap, they chose to fill it.

From that personal challenge came a vision: to create a space where dogs are treated like family—where each pet receives personalized attention, expert supervision, and a calm, welcoming environment that feels like home.

Today, that vision has become a reality.
